CEFR Levels – General Overview

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) provides an international standard for describing language ability. It evaluates learners across four core competencies: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Applicable for all courses (French, English, German, Spanish, etc.)

A1Beginner

Learners can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases. They can introduce themselves, ask simple questions, and interact in a limited way when communication is slow and clear.
